Festival guides

Find your book festival

Start with the sort of day you want: a conversation with a favourite writer, a family outing, a specialist crime programme or a longer break with several events. These festival guides bring the choices together so you can plan the visit as well as choose what to hear.

Use a region if you want to stay closer to home, a month if your time away is fixed, or a reading interest if the programme matters most. You can combine the filters, or follow the plain lists below. Each festival card leads to its guide, with earlier programme highlights, the next dates where announced, official tickets and travel and accommodation advice.

Choose your essential session before filling the rest of the day. Check the event venue, the last journey home and any access support you need. For a shared trip, agree which events you want to attend together and leave room for different interests. A family badge points to a programme with a children's or younger-readers strand; use the guide and official event details for ages and accompanying-adult requirements.
